Lynn Worrell- Founder and Director: A creative youth worker working with clients between the ages of 15 and 29, Lynn’s practice focuses on individual intervention and group facilitation as well as personal and community development. She has an interest in alternative ways to engage youth in school perseverance, which led to her founding the hip-hop literacy organisation W.O.R.D. Lynn believes that community programming is a vital resource in meeting the needs of populations who seek opportunities. She has a holistic approach to programming design that creates links between her young clients and positive adult role models to ensure the youths’ success.
Rayana Kalombo
TEACHING ARTIST
Rayana Kalombo is a multidisciplinary artist (poet, painter and vocalist) from Montreal. She utilises art to encourage people to express their ideas through her creative development service ‘Le Royaume Studio’. With over 200 performance experiences within the last 7 years; including CBC’s Day Break, Women’s March on Washington, Black Lives Matter and over 50 facilitated workshops within the last few years Rayana Kalombo is driven in guiding people in developing their creative abilities. Formerly serving under Maja Vodanovic as part of L’Alliance Jeunesse de Lachine as the Ministry of Women; with the mandate to shut down sex massage parlours within the Lachine region alongside the team. Rayana often finds an intersection between community work and art.
